Our Story

Built by Compliance Professionals,
for Compliance Professionals

Soflo Consulting, LLC was founded by BSA/AML professionals who spent years inside regulated institutions, watching compliance teams stretched thin, examinations approached with scrambled documentation, and programs built for other organizations applied poorly to their own.

Regulated businesses in the United States operate in an increasingly demanding federal environment. FinCEN, FDIC, OCC, and state regulators expect documented programs, trained teams, and examination-ready records, not just policy binders that gather dust. Generic compliance tools and one-size-fits-all consultants simply don't deliver that.

We built Soflo Consulting to close that gap: a national compliance platform with deep regulatory expertise, industry-specific workflows, and the technology to make BSA/AML programs scalable, defensible, and practical for organizations of every size, across every sector we serve.

Our Approach

Why Compliance-as-a-Service Changes Everything

Traditional BSA/AML compliance consulting is expensive, slow, and inconsistent. Hourly billing means costs are unpredictable. Custom proposals mean weeks of back-and-forth before work begins. And because every engagement is bespoke, quality varies dramatically from one consultant to the next. Small and mid-sized regulated businesses, the ones that need compliance help the most, are the ones least able to afford the traditional model.

Soflo Consulting was built on a different premise: that the core components of a defensible BSA/AML compliance program (written policies, a documented risk assessment, annual employee training, and an independent review) can be standardized, systematized, and delivered at scale without sacrificing quality. Our Compliance-as-a-Service (CaaS) model packages these components into fixed-price annual subscriptions that any regulated business can purchase online, without a sales call, without a proposal, and without waiting.

The result is a compliance program that is faster to implement, easier to maintain, and more consistent than anything a traditional consulting engagement can deliver. Our clients receive the same quality of documentation and training that large financial institutions use, adapted for their specific industry, team size, and regulatory environment, at a fraction of the cost.

Since 2018, Soflo has served regulated businesses across more than 15 FinCEN-regulated industries in all 50 states. Our clients include money services businesses, non-bank mortgage lenders, fintech companies, real estate professionals, title and escrow companies, casinos, investment advisers, insurance companies, and dealers in precious metals and high-value goods. Each industry receives training content and documentation tailored to its specific regulatory risk profile, not a generic program repurposed from another sector.

Our platform is built around the five pillars of BSA/AML compliance that FinCEN examiners evaluate: written policies and procedures, a designated BSA compliance officer, annual employee training, independent program testing, and customer due diligence procedures. Every Soflo subscription addresses at least three of these pillars directly, and our Training + Creation plan addresses all five. Clients who complete our program have the documentation, training records, and policy materials they need to satisfy examiner expectations, without scrambling at the last minute.

Our Mission

Making Compliance a Competitive Advantage, Not a Burden

Our mission is simple: help regulated businesses across the country build compliance programs that meet regulatory requirements, protect against financial crime, and ultimately strengthen their operations without consuming resources they can't afford.

Regulatory Integrity

We give our clients honest, accurate guidance even when it's not what they want to hear. Our reputation depends on it, and so does theirs.

Nationwide Platform

We serve regulated businesses across all 50 states. Our platform and expertise adapt to every federal regulatory environment from FinCEN examinations to state-level MSB oversight.

Partnership Over Transactions

The best compliance relationships are long-term. We prioritize ongoing partnerships over one-time engagements because your compliance needs evolve, and we evolve with them.

Practical Over Perfect

Compliance programs only work if your team can actually follow them. We design solutions that are rigorous enough to satisfy regulators and practical enough for real organizations.

Responsive by Default

The regulatory environment doesn't pause. Neither do we. Our clients receive priority access when FinCEN updates rules or examination schedules shift.

Absolute Confidentiality

Everything we see, hear, and create in the course of a client engagement is held in strict professional confidence. Always, without exception.
